Sophia Fan Lin (she/her) is a Chinese contemporary dancer and started to pursue her dance career professionally when she was thirteen years old, but she is passionate to experience dance all over the world. In June 2023, she graduated from UCLA with her BA in Dance. She has worked closely with artists such as Darrell Moultrie, Volta Collective, Hilary Thomas, Anna Carlson, Ros Warby, Natalie Desch, Sara Pickett and Daniel Clifton. She has had the privilege of attending multiple world-famous dance company workshops, Batsheva Dance Company, Akram Khan Company, LA Contemporary Dance Company and Ground Grooves, dancing with lots of dancers who have different backgrounds and personalities. Sophia also loves taking inspiration from her daily life and other art forms such as music, film and literature. Sophia will keep exploring her expression through movements and arts, and she believes art has always no boundaries for all human beings.
